Day two of life, still in the hospital.

I can't believe this was a whole week (only a week?!) ago...

Dinner with friends

 

Dinner at Doma last night was delicious and delightful.  We walked, which was really nice.  Appetizers, entrees, including sushi for some and dessert were all superb.  Here is the cute dessert we shared (in addition to a chocolate lava cake and black sesame ice cream) it's a waffle filled with warm red bean paste. 

Pre-Baby Lunch

 

Elisabeth very nicely humored me the other day and we went out for a super decadent pre baby lunch.  Here's our appetizer, pickled red and golden baby beets with bread, whipped ricotta and olive tapenade.  For lunch we shared an amazing hamburger with bacon AND seared fois gras.  I got so excited when I saw it that I forgot to take a picture!  Needless to say it was amazing. Oh, and then I ran into Capogiro and grabbed a Bacio and Pignoli Nut.

The Nursery is Finished!

Here's what the nursery looked like yesterday.  Chris very hard work making the walls and trim (not to mention ceiling and floor) look beautiful had paid off!  Oh and that's me in the custom hospital gown I got as a little labor gift to myself.

 

And here's what it looks like today, with all the wonderful things we've gotten from our generous family and friends.  Thanks everyone!

Next we'll get some stuff up on the walls, but for now it's time to rest until the little one makes his appearance.

Thanks to Emily we have some cute snaps of the pre-baby period.  Wow that's a big belly! 

All the trim in the room now has paint.  Isn't it all beautiful??  The amazingly smooth walls, beautiful trim and paint are all the handiwork of my very talented Christopher!!
