Purple Princesses with New Jobs!!!!

Congratulations to my ladies!!!
I'm so happy for you both, but I'll miss you!

Purple Princesses

Faerie Moon

We got to put our awesome present from Joanna and Steve in the front of our house in our new flower pots.  Isn't it pretty?  I think it sort of announces to our neighbors that we're the good kind of faeries...

North Philadelphia Train Station

I think it's a grocery store now, but at least it's still there and they're trying to keep it looking generally ok.
The Keystone train still stops here on the way from New York to Harrisburg.

And on the third day...

Day 3 of living here, exactly two weeks after closing day... the water heater is broken!  That's ok, we knew it was time for a new one, this one is 12 years old.  So instead of cleaning the old house, I'm sitting here waiting for the plumber.  This is sort of a blessing in disguise, as I'm sick and would rather be sitting here than cleaning.  I guess I could continue unpacking...

Where's Violet?

We brought the cats over today and will be sleeping in the new house on the air mattress.  Yay for our first night in the new house!!! Dita is her usual nonplussed self, just a little clingier than usual.  Violet on the other hand immediately found herself a tiny hiding place behind some bags.  But then she was gone and we spent 20 frantic minutes searching the house only to find her in the kitchen.  In a bowl.  Yeah, she's found some comfort there somehow.  hilarious.

Our new dining room!

Just kidding!  Ok, one day late for April Fool's.
This is the mirror room at Grey Towers Castle, a Trumbauer building on Arcadia's campus.  I was invited to a lecture on Chinese porcelain and Ai Wei Wei and then this dinner.  It was really a really nice way to end my one day at NCECA, not to mention that how invigorating it was to be among some of Crafts luminaries.
